Matthew is Sr. Principal of Talent Strategy at Guild, where he provides analysis of industry trends, conducts research, and advises Guild leaders on its solution strategy. He also advises HR leaders from Guild’s existing and prospective employer partners on workforce transformation, skilling, career pathways, mobility, and inclusive learning.
Previously, he’s served both internally as an L&D leader at Capital One and in various talent development consulting roles for a number of Fortune 100s, including organizations like Honeywell, Cigna, Microsoft, Nike, and General Motors. He also serves on the product advisory board for a number of learning technology companies.
Matthew writes regularly for TD Magazine, CLO, CTDO, Training Magazine, and Talentmgt.com. He’s also received two OnCon Icon awards for being a top Learning & Development professional.
From 2022 to 2025, Matthew served as a member of the Talent & Culture Subcommittee of the Defense Business Board, where he advised the Secretary and Deputy Secretary of Defense on the latest in Talent Practices.
